Abstract

An exhaust purification device for two-wheel motorcycle, the motorcycle comprises: an engine, a power device of transmission box which from one side of the engine extends toward the back and has a support on the back wheel at the rear end; the front part of the power device is movably supported on the motorcycle body; on the back of the crankcase of the power device and the opposite side of the transmission box adjacent to the back wheel, there is an exhaust muffler; the exhaust purification device is characterized in: the engine has a cylinder which tilt forward at an angle close to horizontal; the exhaust passage, which is in front of the crankcase and has a downward opening, is connected to the exhaust pipe of the rear-end exhaust muffler through a position lower than the cylinder; on the engine exhaust system there is connected a secondary air intake passage which introduces secondary air for the complete combustion of un-combusted gas in the exhaust; a control unit is installed on the secondary air intake passage, the control unit sequentially from the upper stream of the secondary air intake passage is consisted of an air filter and a spring valve, which opens and closes corresponding to the exhaust pulsation, and a normal-open stoppage valve which shuts off the secondary air to the exhaust system when the driver reduces the motorcycle's speed; the air filter is installed on the side of the motorcycle body along the inside of the motorcycle body cover and the control unit is installed on the side of the power device.
