Abstract
An electric discharge unit is provided with: a first frame (15) in which first openings, through which air passes, are formed; a second frame (14) in which second openings, through which air passes, are formed; a third frame (21) in which third openings, through which air passes, are formed; an electric discharge electrode disposed between the first frame (15) and the second frame (14); a counter electrode (17) disposed between the first frame (15) and the second frame (14); and a deodorizing filter (12), which is disposed between the second frame (14) and the third frame (21) and on the surface of which an electrically conductive catalyst has been coated. On the counter electrode (17), deodorizing filter-contacting sections (17a), which protrude from the second frame (14) towards the third frame (21) and contact the deodorizing filter (12), are formed.
