Abstract
The present invention relates to a PPG signal processing device and method thereof. The PPG signal processing device has a PPG signal extracting unit extracting a PPG signal, a motion information extracting unit extracting an motion information during a period of executing the PPG signal, a first adaptive digital filter filtering an interference caused by motion artifacts, and a second adaptive digital filter extracting a cycle signal and increasing a signal to noise ratio of the cycle signal. A heartbeat signal is measured accurately based on the cycle signal processed by the second adaptive digital filter. Therefore, the PPG signal processing device applied to a wearable heartbeat detecting device provides an accurate heartbeat information.
