Abstract

一種顯示裝置,包括一面板模組以及一光源模組,前述面板模組具有一顯示面,前述光源模組設置於面板模組之一側,並包括一主光源與一輔助光源,其中前述主光源投射一第一光線至前述顯示面以產生一影像,且前述輔助光源投射一第二光線至前述顯示面,以提高該影像中之至少一第一區域的亮度。

Description

顯示裝置
本發明係關於一種顯示裝置;特別係有關於一種具有輔助光源之液晶顯示裝置。
液晶顯示裝置已成為生活中常見的一種顯示裝置,其中在車用顯示裝置之市場上,能夠支持數位電視或GPS導航等功能的多功能型中控台已成為當前之主流,因此最新推出的車款,大多採用液晶顯示裝置來取代傳統的機械式行車儀表板。
然而,目前的車用液晶顯示裝置容易受到車外強烈陽光的影響,導致其畫面顏色偏淡,色彩飽和度下降,進而可能造成具警示或行車輔助功能之圖案或畫面被駕駛人所忽略,而危害到駕駛之安全性。
有鑑於前述習知問題點,本發明之一實施例提供一種顯示裝置,包括一面板模組以及一光源模組,前述面板模組具有一顯示面,且前述光源模組設置於面板模組之一側,並包括一主光源與一輔助光源,其中前述主光源投射一第一光線至前述顯示面以產生一影像,且前述輔助光源投射一第二光線至前述顯示面,以提高前述影像中之至少一第一區域的亮度。
於一實施例中,前述主光源包括一白色發光二極體 或一彩色發光二極體之集合。
於一實施例中,前述輔助光源包括一白色發光二極體、紅色發光二極體、藍色發光二極體、綠色發光二極體或其他顏色發光二極體等上述光源的集合之其中一者。
於一實施例中,前述光源模組為一直下式光源模組,並與前述面板模組相對設置,且該光源模組更包括一基板,前述輔助光源設置於基板上並對應於前述第一區域。
於一實施例中,前述光源模組為一側邊式光源模組,且該光源模組更包括一導光板,前述主光源及輔助光源設置於導光板之週側。
於一實施例中,前述導光板包括一導光結構,對應於前述輔助光源之位置,以導引前述第二光線投射至前述第一區域。
於一實施例中,前述導光結構具有一V字型或半圓形截面。
於一實施例中,前述輔助光源以閃爍的方式投射前述第二光線至前述第一區域。
於一實施例中,當前述輔助光源投射前述第二光線至前述第一區域時,對應於第一區域的亮度高於前述影像之其他區域。
於一實施例中,當前述輔助光源投射前述第二光線至前述第一區域時,該第一區域的亮度高於前述影像的平均亮度至少50至500nits。
於一實施例中,前述光源模組更包括一控制單元, 該控制單元驅動前述輔助光源。

請先參閱第1圖所示,本發明一實施例之顯示裝置10,可作為一車用顯示裝置(例如一儀表板),主要包括一面板模組100以及一光源模組200。
如第1圖所示,本實施例之光源模組200為直下式入光並且設置於面板模組100之底側,換句話說,面板模組100介於觀察者與光源模組200之間。光源模組200主要包括一基板B、複數個主光源202以及複數個輔助光源204,前述主光源202為白色發光二極體(LED)、白色陰極射線管或其他白色光源,以陣列形式設置於基板B上,並由驅動單元控制以投射出第一光線(白光)至面板模組100之一顯示面S而產生一影像。
本文中之白色、紅色、綠色、藍色或其他色彩係表示於孟塞爾表色系統中之分類,其中白色可以指在CIE 1931 XYZ 色度座標系統中x介於0.31至0.35,y介於0.31至0.36色度值的光線,其可以近於標準照明體C、D50、D55、D65、D75或B的色度值。紅色之主要波長則介於550nm至700nm之間(包括錐狀體吸收之紅色峰值波長564nm),綠色之主要波長介於500nm至600nm之間(包括錐狀體吸收之紅色峰值波長534nm),且藍色之主要波長介於380nm至500nm之間(包括錐狀體吸收之紅色峰值波長400nm),以下白色以外的顏色皆稱為彩色。前述主光源202之第一光線依其應用亦可為彩色,係使用白色光源或彩色光源之集合產生。
應了解的是,前述面板模組100係為一液晶面板模組,由一薄膜電晶體基板、一彩色濾光片基板、液晶層、相關驅動電路及相關光學元件構成(未圖示),並可藉由驅動液晶以調變光通過量,加上彩色濾光片以使得顯示面S呈現出彩色之畫面。前述面板模組100之顯示面S所呈現之影像中,具有至少一固定位置的第一區域100a(警示區域),以作為固定標示的警示圖像之用,例如第1圖中顯示面S之右上角的三個警示圖案、接近中間的兩個方向燈圖案以及左下角的一個油箱警示圖案,其中該等位置係固定並多具有不同於其他位置影像的顏色以強化警示功能。前述第一區域100a之面積小於該顯示面S以及上述呈現於顯示面S上之影像的面積。
此外,在前述基板B上設置有一控制單元206與前述輔助光源204,其中控制單元206可電性連接該些輔助光源204,控制單元206可獨立驅動個別輔助光源204投射出第二光線至顯示面S之第一區域100a,並使其亮度提高或改變其色度。於其他實施例中,前述輔助光源204之控制單元206可與主光源202之驅動單元合 併,並可獨立或同步驅動。本實施例中之輔助光源204可為紅光光源(LED或CCFL)、藍光光源(LED或CCFL)、綠光光源(LED或CCFL)或其他有色光源等上述光源的集合之其中一者,亦或可以是白光光源(LED或CCFL)或其與有色光源之混合,其係對應於顯示面S中該些第一區域100a所預設之顏色(可為白色或彩色),視強化警示圖像之需要而改變輔助光源204之亮度及色度設計。前述第一光線於顯示面S上的投射面積大於第二光線於顯示面S上的投射面積。
需特別說明的是,前述輔助光源204的位置係分別對應於顯示面S中之該些第一區域100a設置(如第1圖所示),因此當控制單元206驅動特定的輔助光源204發光時,可使得其對應之第一區域100a的畫面亮度高於顯示面S上影像的平均亮度(至少50至500nits),並能夠提高該些第一區域100a之色彩飽和度,以減低車外陽光的影響,進而使得駕駛人容易注意到該些警示圖像資訊。
此外,為使駕駛人更容易注意到前述第一區域100a的圖像資訊,控制單元206亦可以閃爍驅動的方式致動輔助光源204,或者在輔助光源204投射第二光線至該些第一區域100a時,可使得面板模組100中對應於該些第一區域100a的亮度(穿透率)提高或者可降低第一區域100a周邊之其他圖像之亮度,以更加強該些第一區域100a的亮度與色彩飽和度,並能與顯示面S中之其他區域產生對比效果。
於本發明之其他實施例中,前述主光源202亦可為R/G/B LED集合,其透過三原色混光之形式以提供白光或彩色光;或者,前述輔助光源204亦可為R/G/B LED集合,其透過選擇性驅動單一的晶片來產生紅光或綠光等彩色光。應了解的是,本發明 中並不限定輔助光源204的發光顏色,惟僅需配合前述第一區域100a之預設顏色即可。前述主光源202或輔助光源204之數量及型式(例如可改用燈泡或燈管)亦不以第1圖所示為限。
接著,請參閱至第2圖,其表示本發明另一實施例之顯示裝置示意圖。本實施例中之顯示裝置10相較於第1圖所示實施例的差異,在於光源模組200改為側邊式入光,換言之,光源模組200的入光方向實質上與面板模組100之法線方向係相互垂直的,且主光源202與輔助光源204分別設置於一導光板G之相反側。
需特別說明的是,由於本實施例中之光源模組200,其輔助光源204所發出的光線需經過導光板G導引而投射至面板模組100之顯示面S,以使得呈現於顯示面S之影像中的第一區域100a亮度提高,因此較佳的一配置方式係將該些輔助光源204以及第一區域100a鄰近於導光板G之一側(如第2圖所示),以避免輔助光源204所發出的光線干擾到顯示面S上之影像中的其他區域。
前述主光源202與輔助光源204亦可設置於導光板G之相同側,或者前述導光板G之左右兩側亦可增設主光源202或輔助光源204(此時,前述第一區域100a可對應輔助光源204的位置設置在顯示面S之左右兩側),惟該些輔助光源204所發出之光線能夠分別投射至顯示面S之該些第一區域100a即可。
於本發明之另一實施例中,前述導光板G的下側更可包括複數個導光結構,例如具有V字型截面之稜鏡式溝槽或者具有半圓形截面之光學結構,其分別對應於前述輔助光源204之位置,藉此可準確地導引輔助光源204所發出之第二光線到達顯示面S,以提高顯示面S之影像中對應的第一區域100a的亮度。其中, 前述輔助光源204所發出之第二光線於導光板G中的行進距離D(請參閱第2圖所示),係端看該些導光結構與該些第一區域100a之位置配置而定,且該些輔助光源204的出光分布角度θ(如第2圖所示)可介於1度到180度之間。
請再參閱第3圖所示,前述光源模組200亦可為一主動式有機發光二極體(OLED)陣列面板,其包括基板、驅動元件、走線、有機發光二極體陣列(白色、紅色、綠色、藍色或其他色彩)以及封裝結構等,前述有機發光二極體陣列具有主光源202及輔助光源204,可以區域化發光以投射光線至顯示面板100之顯示面S以呈現具有第一區域100a之影像,此時顯示面板100可為需驅動的液晶顯示面板,或是不需驅動的透明基板(表蓋玻璃)、具有彩色濾光片之透明基板(表蓋玻璃)。其設計可參考前述實施例。輔助光源204可使得特定之第一區域100a亮度提升或色度改變。
應了解的是,前述顯示裝置10亦可作為一工業用顯示裝置,以滿足其影像中特定警示或操作圖示等資訊需要特別醒目的需求。
綜上所述,本發明提供一種顯示裝置,可作為一車用或工業用顯示裝置,主要包括一面板模組與一光源模組,其中光源模組之主光源可在前述面板模組之顯示面上產生影像,且該光源模組之至少一輔助光源則可在一控制單元驅動時,使得前述影像中之至少一第一區域的亮度提高。透過上述發明特徵,可使得前述車用或工業用顯示裝置之顯示面中特定之第一區域(例如行車或操作警示符號)的亮度與色彩飽和度提高,進而能夠發揮其警示和提醒的效果。
雖然本發明以前述之實施例揭露如上,然其並非用以限定本發明。本發明所屬技術領域中具有通常知識者,在不脫離本發明之精神和範圍內,當可做些許之更動與潤飾。因此本發明之保護範圍當視後附之申請專利範圍所界定者為準。

Claims (13)

  1. 一種顯示裝置,包括:一面板模組,具有一顯示面;以及一光源模組,設置於該面板模組之一側,並包括一主光源與一輔助光源,該主光源投射一第一光線至該顯示面以產生一影像,且該輔助光源投射一第二光線至該顯示面,以提高該影像中之至少一第一區域的亮度。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的顯示裝置,其中該主光源包括一白色發光二極體或一彩色發光二極體之集合。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的顯示裝置,其中該輔助光源包括一白色發光二極體、紅色發光二極體、藍色發光二極體、綠色發光二極體或其他顏色發光二極體等上述光源的集合之其中一者。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的顯示裝置,其中該光源模組為一直下式光源模組,並與該面板模組相對設置,且該光源模組更包括一基板,該輔助光源設置於該基板上並對應於該第一區域。

  6. 如申請專利範圍第5項所述的顯示裝置,其中該導光板包括一導光結構,對應於該輔助光源之位置,以導引該第二 光線投射至該第一區域。
  7. 如申請專利範圍第6項所述的顯示裝置,其中該導光結構具有一V字型或半圓形截面。
  8. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的顯示裝置,其中該輔助光源以閃爍的方式投射該第二光線至該第一區域。
  9. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的顯示裝置,其中當該輔助光源投射該第二光線至該第一區域時,對應於該第一區域的亮度高於該影像之其他區域。
  10. 如申請專利範圍第9項所述的顯示裝置,其中當該輔助光源投射該第二光線至該第一區域時,該第一區域的亮度高於該影像的平均亮度至少50至500nits。
  11. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的顯示裝置,其中該光源模組更包括一控制單元,該控制單元驅動該輔助光源。
  12. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的顯示裝置,其中該光源模組包括一有機發光二極體。
  13. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的顯示裝置,其中該第一區域之面積小於該影像之面積。
