Abstract

A video playback apparatus and an operation method thereof are provided. The video playback apparatus includes a video content interface unit, a network interface unit, a tag-mixer unit and a display unit. The video content interface unit outputs at least a video frame. The network interface unit obtains tag information with at least a tag corresponding to the video frame from a server via a network. The tag-mixer unit outputs a tag layer according to the tag information, and synchronizes the tag layer with the video frame according to video information of the video frame. The display unit stacks the tag layer on the video frame, and displays the tag layer and the video frame.
