Some examples of the present application propose a media content pushing method, which is applied to a smart television. As shown in fig. 1A, the method includes the steps of:
step 101A: and acquiring program information of the television program currently played by the intelligent television.
The program information may be obtained from a set-top box, which may be a module built in the smart television or an external device of the smart television, and is responsible for obtaining television broadcast data from a television broadcast network, such as data of television programs provided by each television station channel, where the program information at least includes a program name of a currently broadcast program, such as a title of a certain television show, a name of a certain evening party, a name of a certain interview program, and the like, and may further include related information of the program, such as a currently broadcast episode, a name of a certain program in a currently broadcast evening party, a name of an actor in a interview person, a name of a program creator, and the like.
In some examples, the media content pushing method is applied in the system architecture shown in fig. 1B. As shown in fig. 1B, the system architecture includes: the smart television 101B and the video server 102B, which communicate via the internet 103B, wherein the smart television 101B includes a play management module 104B and a video application client 105B (video app for short). Wherein, the playing management module 104B obtains the program information; the playing management module 104B sends the recommended media content query request to the video application client 105B, and the video application client 105B sends the recommended media content query request again; the video application client 105B receives the recommended content list from the video server 102B and sends the recommended content list to the play management module; the play management module 104B displays the recommended content list in the currently played television picture; in response to the user selecting information of a media content in the displayed recommended content list, the play management module 104B sends the selected information of the media content to the video application client 105B, and switches the signal source of the television picture from a television signal to the video application client 105B; the video application client 105B determines the link address, pulls page data corresponding to the link address from the video server 102B and displays the page, and displays the selected media content in the page.
In some examples, the obtaining, by the playback management module, the program information includes: the playing management module extracts a channel ID from a currently played television signal or a television picture; and inquiring and extracting the electronic program guide program information of the current channel according to the channel identification.
Wherein, the Program information of the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) is the Program information of the currently played television Program.
Step 102A: sending a recommended content query request carrying the program information to a video server so that the video server determines a recommended content list corresponding to the program information; wherein the recommended content list includes information of at least one media content.
In some examples, the playback management module sends the recommended-media-content query request to the video application client, which in turn sends the recommended-media-content query request; and the video application client receives the recommended content list from the video server and sends the recommended content list to the play management module.
In some instances, the recommended-media-content-query request may inform a video app in a message that includes the program information.
Specifically, after receiving the query request, the video server obtains media content related to the currently played tv program according to program information carried in the query request, where the media content includes videos, pictures, animations and the like, such as other episodes of the currently played tv show, peripheral blossoms related to the tv show, or movies related to the tv show, and the like, and each of the media content carries a respective Identifier (ID), where the media content ID is used to identify a media content file, such as a video file of each episode of the currently played tv show carries its own ID, a video file of the peripheral blossoms related to the tv show carries its ID, and pictures of the movies related movies also carry their IDs, and these related media contents form an album, that is, media contents such as other episodes of the currently played tv show, peripheral blossoms related to the tv show, or movies related to the tv show form an album, the album also has its ID (i.e., album ID), and the album ID of any media content in the album can be found by the ID of the media content.
And the video server forms a recommended media content list by the information such as the ID, the name and the like of the related media content, and sends the recommended media content list to the play management module through the video app.
In some examples, the information for each media content in the list of recommended content received from the video server includes a content identification and a content name; wherein, the content name of at least one media content in the recommended content list is shown; responding to the selection of the user for the content name of the displayed media content, and determining a link address corresponding to the content identifier of the selected media content; wherein presenting the selected media content in the page comprises: acquiring the selected media content from the video server according to the content identification of the selected media content; displaying the acquired media content in the page.
If the recommended media content is other episodes of a television play being played, the media content name further includes the episode number, so that the user can select the television play that the user wants to watch according to the television play name and the episode number.
Step 103A: presenting the recommended content list received from the video server.
In some examples, the smart television presents the recommended content list for a predetermined time.
The preset time may be a certain time before the end of the currently played television program, such as 2 minutes; and the preset time can be preset in the television playing management module.
In some examples, the presenting the list of recommended content received from the video server comprises: displaying a window in a current television playing picture; and displaying the recommended content list in the window.
In some examples, when the number of pieces of information of the media content included in the recommended content list exceeds a predetermined threshold, before presenting the recommended content list, further comprising: selecting information of a part of media content which is relatively high in relevance with the currently played television program from the recommended content list; wherein information of the selected portion of media content is presented in the window.
In some examples, when the number of pieces of information of the media content included in the recommended content list exceeds a predetermined threshold, before presenting the recommended content list, further comprising: information for selecting a part of media contents from the recommended contents list; wherein the displaying the recommended content list in the window includes: presenting information of the selected portion of media content in the window for a first time; and responding to the operation of the user on the window, and displaying the information of the residual media contents in the recommended content list.
Specifically, the manner of displaying the recommended media content list may be, for example, a manner of popping up a window, and due to a problem of the size of the window, the content displayed at a time is limited, and when the information in the recommended media content list is more, the information cannot be displayed at a time, so that the window may only display the information of the media content with higher recommendability in the recommended media content list. In addition, the window may also have a scroll bar and up and down arrow buttons so that the user can view the complete list of recommended content. As shown in fig. 2, a play interface 201 of the smart tv displays the 13 th episode of the XX satellite television currently playing the series a, and when the play of the series is about to end, for example, 2 minutes further from the end of the play of the series, in a lower right corner of the play interface, a window 202 (preferably without affecting normal viewing of the tv interface by the user) with a preset size is displayed for higher recommendable content in the recommended media content list, for example, only other episodes that the higher recommendable user has not yet viewed, such as the 14 th to 17 th episodes displayed in the window shown in fig. 2, may be displayed in the window, and at the same time, the user may drag a scroll bar or click a down arrow button, and the viewing window may not display a complete recommended content list, so that the user may select among the displayed contents.
Step 104A: and responding to the selection of the user for the information of one media content in the displayed recommended content list, and determining a link address corresponding to the information of the selected media content.
In some examples, when monitoring that a user selects a recommended media content in the recommended media content list, a play management module of the smart television sends a page display request to a video app, where the page display request carries the ID of the selected recommended media content.
Here, the television playing management module firstly cuts off a currently obtained signal, then sends a page display request to the video app, and switches the television signal source to the video app, so that a playing interface of the smart television starts to display a page of the video app, or to say, pulls up the page of the video app.
Step 105A: and pulling the page data corresponding to the link address from the video server and displaying a page.
Step 106A: presenting the selected media content in the page.
In some examples, presenting the selected media content in the page includes: and when the page is displayed, automatically acquiring the selected media content from the video server according to the information of the selected media content and displaying the selected media content.
In some examples, presenting the selected media content in the page includes: displaying information of each media content in the recommended content list in the page, wherein the selected information of the media content is in a selected state; after a preset time period, acquiring the selected media content from the video server according to the information of the selected media content and displaying the media content; responding to the selection of the user for the information of the second media content in the page within the preset time period, and acquiring and displaying the selected second media content from the video server according to the information of the selected second media content.
Specifically, after receiving the page display request, the video app may determine a corresponding URL according to a recommended media content ID (e.g., a video ID) carried in the request, pull corresponding page data from the video server according to the URL, display a corresponding page in the play interface, and display the recommended media content in the page (e.g., play a video, or display a picture, an animation, or the like). The page may further display a series of information associated with the recommended media content, that is, album content where the recommended media content is located, where the album content is acquired by the video app from the video server according to the recommended media content ID carried in the page display request, and specifically, the video server queries the album ID where the recommended media content is located according to the recommended media content ID, and includes the album content corresponding to the album ID in the page data and returns the album content to the video app.
When the page is displayed, the selected recommended media content does not need to be automatically played, the recommended media content can not be played first, the name/ID of the recommended media content is enabled to be in the selected state in the page, and the recommended media content is played after a preset time or is played in response to the confirmation operation of the user.
As shown in fig. 3, if the user clicks the 14 th set in the pop-up window in fig. 2, the playing interface of the smart television shows the page shown in fig. 3, where the 14 th set is selected. In some examples, the video app obtains the video file of the 14 th episode of the tv series from the video server according to the selected video ID (i.e., the video ID corresponding to the 14 th episode), and plays the video file. In some examples, the video app may remain on the page shown in fig. 3 for a short time or even flash, and then the video app may jump from the page shown in fig. 3 to the play page of the recommended video, and the play interface of the smart tv may show the play page of the recommended video.
In the page diagram shown in fig. 3, the user may also switch the selected episode, for example, if the user wants to watch the 10 th episode, the 10 th episode may be clicked, so that the video app acquires the video file of the recommended video from the video server according to the recommended video ID (for example, the video ID corresponding to the 10 th episode) to play. In some instances, the video app may keep the page shown in fig. 3 for any long time, pass a predetermined time, or replay a video file of the recommended video in response to a confirmation operation by the user. The time for which the video app holds the page shown in fig. 3 can be determined by program presets.
Through the technical scheme, the smart television can timely guide the user to enter recommended media content playing or related pages provided by the video app by identifying the playing content of the smart television, so that the watching interest and the requirement of the user are met, and the media content pushing effect is improved. Moreover, the signal source is quickly switched from the set top box to the video app by the play management module of the smart television, so that the seamless switching of the content provided by guiding the play content pushed by the set top box to the video app is realized, and the user experience is optimized.
In some examples, the present application further proposes a media content pushing method applied to a video application client in a smart television, where the method includes: receiving program information of a television program currently played by the intelligent television; sending a recommended content query request carrying the program information to a video server so that the video server determines a recommended content list corresponding to the program information; wherein the recommended content list includes information of at least one media content; receiving the recommended content list from the video server; providing the recommended content list to a play management module in the smart television so that the recommended content list is displayed; receiving information of a media content selected by a user from the displayed recommended content list from the play management module, and determining a link address corresponding to the information of the selected media content; pulling page data corresponding to the link address from the video server and displaying a page; presenting the selected media content in the page.
