Description

中間 壁部份5與第二分 包含多於一個的分 Z:側壁部份5、6之 發泡材料例如聚氨 烯(polystyrene ) 乙稀(polyvinyl >所組成的群類的 份地包含一空穴或 一例子中,中間部 及第二分立非金屬 匕無任何的氣體及/ 1.5mm 至 2.5mm 的 例子中,平均厚度 分立非金屬側壁部 圓周方向整個地延 -11 - Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a lightweight bicycle rim having improved stability and stiffness. More specifically, the present invention has a reinforced outer bicycle rim having a pair of annular side portions, the Φ each of the annular side portions including a first discrete side wall and a second discrete sidewall spaced from the first discrete sidewall. Both the first discrete side wall and the second discrete side wall are made of a non-metallic material such as a fiber reinforced composite. [Prior Art] Bicycle wheels are constantly being redesigned for strength, light weight, aerodynamic design, and ease of manufacture and assembly. There are many different types of bicycle wheels currently on the market. Most of the known conventional bicycle wheels have a hub, a plurality of spokes, and an annular bicycle rim. The hub of the bicycle wheel is attached to the attachment portion of the bicycle frame for relative rotation. The inner end of the spoke is coupled to the hub and extends outwardly from the hub. The annular bicycle rim of the bicycle wheel is coupled to the outer end of the spoke via an inner annular portion and has an outer annular portion for supporting and receiving the tire thereon. There have been several attempts to produce bicycle rims that are lightweight and sufficiently strong or strong. A known example of such a bicycle rim is a tubular bicycle rim made of carbon fiber and/or fiberglass reinforced material. Additional lightweight bicycle rim designs made from such composite materials are also known from the prior art. -4- 200946368 For example, 'French Patent Document No. 290458 1 (Salomon SA) discloses a bicycle rim composed of a composite material, which comprises two reinforcing walls, and the two reinforcing walls are glued or bonded together to make two Overlapping. The overlapping glued reinforcing walls form a bicycle rim for receiving the upper portion of the tire "part' and the lower portion for receiving the spokes, and the side walls. The reinforcing walls are composed of non-metallic materials such as a composite of fibers and epoxy. U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 2 005/00623, which is incorporated herein by reference in its entire entire entire entire entire entire entire entire entire entire entire entire entire A stack of woven carbon fibers consisting of a folded second main layer. The layers extend around the bicycle rim in cross-sectional view and the two bundles of unidirectional fibers extend circumferentially within the first and second main layers to increase the strength of the bicycle rim. In addition, this U.S. Patent Application discloses a bicycle rim having a complex cross section with a plurality of reinforcing elements. These reinforcing elements are composed of different component layers. Bicycle rims known in the prior art are of considerable size to meet the necessary stability and robust structural requirements. In addition, the manufacturing and assembly process of these self-propelled wheel circles is quite complicated and time consuming. Accordingly, there is a need for lightweight bicycle rims having increased rigidity, such as in particular sidewalls, enhanced aerodynamics, and relatively simple innovations or improvements. The present invention satisfies this need in the art as well as other needs, which will become apparent to those skilled in the art from this disclosure. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION -5-200946368 The present invention provides a bicycle rim comprising an outer annular ring portion. The outer annular portion receives the tire and the inner annular portion has at least one spoke. The bicycle rim additionally includes a pair of annular side annular side portions coupled to the outer annular portion and the inner annular portion. At least one or one of the annular sides of the pair includes at least one first portion and at least one second discrete sidewall portion. The at least one side wall portion is spaced apart from the at least one first discrete side wall portion. In one example of the invention, the bicycle rim includes a pair of annular sides and an annular side portion having two separate or discrete side walls or side walls, ie, each other Such a compounded or sandwiched configuration of the first discrete side wall portion and the second discrete side first discrete side wall portion and the second discrete side wall portion of the second discrete side, which substantially increases the length of the ring according to the present invention, for example Cutting strength, bending strength, and thus increasing; according to another aspect of the invention, one of the pair of annular sides may include at least one first discrete sidewall portion, and the first discrete sidewall portion The spaced apart at least one second discrete side. In other words, each of the pair of annular sides may include a first discrete sidewall portion and a second discrete sidewall portion as described above. This symmetrical bicycle rim design, and thus resulting in an increased robust manufacturing process. In addition, with such a design, for example, an unfavorable mass distribution associated with the vibration load can be avoided. In another aspect of the invention, the bicycle rim can have another intermediate portion. The at least one intermediate portion can be provided with at least one first discrete sidewall portion and at least one second partial portion and an inner receivable portion. The pair of annular side discrete sidewalls are second separated. In this part, and each part is also a wall part. Set up three bicycle wheels to be medically determined. At least another wall portion. And the following causes, for example, a degree of simplification of the rotational force and includes at least between the above-mentioned vertical side wall portions -6 - 200946368 parts. According to one embodiment of the invention, a first discrete sidewall portion, an intermediate portion, and a second discrete sidewall portion can be configured in a sandwich configuration. According to another aspect of the invention, the at least one first discrete side wall portion and/or the at least one second discrete side wall portion may be constructed of different materials. Additionally or alternatively, the at least one first discrete sidewall portion and/or the at least one second discrete sidewall portion may be constructed of a different material than the at least one intermediate portion of the foregoing. In other words, the first discrete sidewall portion can be made, for example, of a material that is different from both the second discrete sidewall portion and the intermediate portion. Alternatively, the first discrete sidewall portion and the second discrete sidewall portion may be made of the same material' and the same material is different from the material of the intermediate portion. According to another aspect of the invention, the at least one first discrete side wall portion and/or the at least one second discrete side wall portion may be made of a non-metallic material. For example, 'non-metallic materials can be selected from the group consisting of free fiber reinforced composites. The non-metallic material may be a composite of an adhesive such as epoxy resin and glass fiber and/or carbon fiber or woven material. Such materials have, for example, low density 'but high strength and tenacity. According to another aspect of the invention, at least one of the intermediate portions may comprise at least a portion of a void and/or may be made of a non-metallic material such as a foamed material. If the intermediate portion is made of, for example, a high-resistance foamed material such as a curable plastic, then the bending strength and shear strength can be increased under the total weight of the bicycle rim. Significantly increased. According to another aspect of the invention, the at least one first discrete side 200946368 wall portion and the at least one second discrete side wall portion may be made of the same material, particularly of the same non-metallic material.
