Abstract

A light diffuser including a foamed body formed by imparting radiation energy and heat energy, and a light diffusing portion having a predetermined distribution pattern with respect to the foam density. The rate of foam occupancy in the foamed body is 65% or less, and the light diffusing portion may include a low foam area in which the rate of foam occupancy is 0.5% or less and a high foam area in which the rate of foam occupancy is 1% or more. Also, an intermediate foam area may be present between the low foam area and high foam area so as to bridge the two areas. In the intermediate foam area, the rate of foam occupancy gradually increases from a side adjacent to the low foam area to a side adjacent to the high foam area.
