Abstract
A fuel cell is provided with an anode (2), a cathode (3), and an electrolyte plate (1) arranged between the anode (2) and the cathode (3). The electrolyte plate (1) includes a porous board (5) formed of an inorganic insulating material containing a first element. The first element can form an inorganic network structure and is contained by 50% or more when converted into cations. The electrolyte plate also includes an inorganic proton conductive material (6) applied into the porous board (5) and contains a second element. The second element can form the inorganic network structure with the first element and is contained by 60% or more when converted into cations.
