Abstract
A fuel cell is provided with a fuel electrode, an oxidant electrode, and an electrolyte membrane arranged between the fuel electrode and the oxidant electrode. The electrolyte membrane includes a porous base material (1), a first electrolyte (4) applied in the pores of the porous base material (1), and a second electrolyte (2a, 2b) covering the surfaces of the porous base material (1). The first electrolyte (4) has an elasticity modulus higher than that of the second electrolyte (2a, 2b).
