Abstract

An epoxy resin composition suitable for use as an insulating layer of multilayer printed wiring board, which epoxy resin composition attains satisfactory flame retardation without relying upon halogen flame retardants and phosphorus flame retardants and excels in storage stability and strength of adhesion of the insulating layer to plated conductor. There is provided an epoxy resin composition characterized by containing (A) aromatic epoxy resin having two or more epoxy groups in each molecule, (B) naphthol curing agent, (C) thioalkyl-containing phenolic curing agent and (D) inorganic filler.
