Abstract

This invention provides a liquid crystal display(LCD) component for displaying diversified colors and capable of preventing color separation. This invention can provide LCD components, such as: a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a first polarizer, a first light source, a transparent and reflective panel, a voltage applying method, and a control circuit. The first substrate provides a first electrode. The second substrate provides a second electrode and delineated with a display unit and a background area. The liquid crystal layer provides between the first and second substrates. The first polarizer provides the first substrate. The first light source provides the first polarizer. The transparent and reflective panel provides the second substrate and able to allow the light as projected to pass through or reflect the light as projected. The second polarizer provides the transparent and reflective panel. The second light source provides the second polarizer. The voltage applying method applies a voltage between the first and second electrodes. The control circuit divides a time frame into plural sub-frames to cause the first or second light source to illuminate in each of the sub-frames and for controlling the illumination to synchronize with the alignment state of the liquid crystal layer. The transparent and reflective panel is able to reflect the first polarizer and the light of the liquid crystal layer under polarized state while no voltage is applied. It allows the light of the second polarizer under polarized state to pass through.
