Abstract

To provide a submerged pump having a vortex generation preventive device restraining generation of an underwater vortex by enabling low water level operation. A vortex generation preventive member 10 for preventing generation of the vortex of flowing water, is arranged in the vicinity of a lower part of a suction port 9 of the submerged pump 7 arranged in a door body 5 of a sluice of a water passage and draining the flowing water to the other of the water passage by sucking the flowing water from one of the water passage. This vortex generation preventive member 10 can change the flowing water direction by a synthetic rubber material, and a tip part is elastically deformed by a pressure difference between both surfaces. The submerged pump 7 is slantingly arranged, and a cover 8 is arranged in an upper part of the suction port 9. A side fin 11 is installed in this cover 8, and the pump can be operated at a low water level.
