Abstract
A low density and high toughness alloy and its preparation method is disclosed. The alloy of this invention comprises 23 wt﹪to 33 wt﹪ Mn, 8.1 wt﹪ to 9.8 wt﹪Al, 3 wt﹪to 7.8 wt﹪Cr, 0.6 wt﹪to 1.2 wt﹪C, 0.1 wt﹪to 0.24 wt﹪Si and the rest is Fe. No heat treatment, forge and hot or cold roll forming processes are needed if this alloy is used in golf club head manufacture. The golf club heads made thereof is high in elongation, stiffness, damping property and is corrosion resistance. It also lowers production cost.
