Abstract
An XY guide device and a base isolation device. In the XY guide device, even if fixing bolts (71) are strongly tightened to connect a second slide member (13) to a first slide member (11), the deformed amount of a rubber shim (8) between the first slide member (11) and the second slide member (13) can be suppressed, and even if a load acts between these slide members (11) and (13), the tightening forces of the bolts (71) can be prevented from being reduced. The XY guide device comprises the first slide member (11) movable in an X-direction along a first track rail (10), the second slide member (13) movable in a Y-direction along a second track rail (12), the elastic body sheet (8) interposed between these first and second slide members (11) and (13), and the fixing means (71) connecting the second slide member (13) to the first slide member (11) so as to press down the elastic body sheet (8). A clearance absorbing member (9) with a spring constant smaller than that of the elastic body sheet (8) is interposed between the fixing means (71) and the second slide member (13).
