Abstract

A waterwheel type aerator comprising a floating frame on the water, a transmitting unit on the floating frame, a motor placed on the floating frame, two waterwheels and an oxygen dissolving unit. The waterwheels include several vanes toward the water, the oxygen dissolving unit includes an air conduit extended from the surface of water to the underneath, a set of stator vane underneath the water which is connected to the air conduit and having several aeration accesses. When the motor runs, the waterwheels, the air conduit and the set of stator vane rotate at the same time so that the rotation of stator vanes can guide the air above the water surface spreading to the water underneath and such waterwheels and the set of stator vane can create convection between the upper and lower water and to generate the fast oxygen dissolving effects.
