Abstract
A detecting method of mud flow is disclosed, a steel string is transversely provided at a valley or a check dam of a mud flow monitoring area, the two ends of the steel string are fixed on the two lateral walls of the valley or the check dam of the mud flow monitoring area so that the steel string is tightly retained and would not swing due to wind; a sensing device is connected to the steel string, the sensing device is used to detect whether the steel string greatly swings or not; a image recording device is provided at the top or the bottom end of the steel string, the image recording device and the sensing device are connected to a monitoring mainframe either with cables or wireless, the monitoring mainframe is connected to a warning device and a displaying device; when a mud flow occurs in the mud flow monitoring area, the steel string is swung by the sliding force created by the mud flow, then the sensing device is activated and the sensing device send outs an activation signal to the monitoring mainframe, when the activation signal of the sensing device is received by the monitoring mainframe, the warning device would be driven to give off warning sound to inform a monitoring person that the mud flow is occurring in the mud flow monitoring area, and the monitoring person can view the images recorded by the image recording device via the displaying device so he can determine whether the mud flow is actually occurring, if the detection result is true then immediately evacuate residents at the downstream.
