Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of ecology, in particular to identifying signs of natural disasters, and may find application in assessing the risk of damage to the territory by an avalanche-like stream.
A01G 7/00).There is a method in which the method of phytoindication for old-aged diseased trees is used (application No. 99107239, published January 20, 2001, IPC
However, in the known method there are not enough indicators to determine the damage to the mountain valley by an avalanche-like flow only in old-aged diseased trees, which reduces the effectiveness of the method.
- С. 634-640. There is also a known method in which changes in landscapes are detected in areas affected by mudflows, the nature and speed of successions in mudflows are determined and used as one of the indicators of mudflow activity (Indication of mudflow activity in landscapes of the North Caucasus / MN Petrushina., EG Suslova // Modern problems of geology, geophysics and geoecology of the North Caucasus. - Grozny, 2012. - S. 634-640. - Source No. 1, attached).
The disadvantage of this method is that although it allows you to identify the age of mudflow deposits, the scope of this method is the option of the absence of deposits on the sides of the valley, as well as the assessment of the scale of damage to the mountain valley with an avalanche-like flow, which reduces the effectiveness of the method.
A01G 7/00, A01G 23/00. E01F 7/04).The closest technical solution is the method where the phyto-indicator of the zone of damage to the meadow slopes of the mountain valley, the avalanche flow is wide, long newly formed willows (from Salix spp.), Formed after the passage of the avalanche flow (patent No. 2573360 published on 01.20.2016 IPC A01G 7/00, A01G 23 / 00. E01F 7/04).
However, in the known method, indicators for determining damage to a mountain valley by an avalanche-like flow (newly formed willows) can be destroyed shortly after a catastrophe as a result of anthropogenic influences (logging, fires, etc.), which reduces the effectiveness of the method.
The technical result of the claimed object is to increase the efficiency of the method by expanding the spectrum of phytoindicators to identify signs of dangerous natural phenomena.
The technical solution consists in the fact that, in contrast to the prototype method, the zone of damage to meadow slopes of a mountain valley by liquid fractions of an avalanche-like flow is determined by instrumental estimation of the maximum measured height of the overgrowth of Astragalus galegiformis L. (perennial herbaceous plant of the legume family - Fabaceae ) in the flowering phase, formed after the disaster on the affected meadow slopes.
The method is as follows.
The phyto-indicator of the zone of damage to the meadow slopes of the mountain valley with the liquid fractions of an avalanche-like flow are extended thickets of goat-like astragalus, which form after the passage of an avalanche-like flow. The defeat in liquid fractions does not violate the existing soil and vegetation cover, but only transforms it and introduces diasporas of new plant species. The most prominent of these invaders is the goat-like astragalus.
The overgrowth of Astragalus goat-like is especially distinct in summer, during the period of mass flowering of these plants. Vast thickets of these tall (up to 1.5 m or more) plants with large yellowish inflorescences are clearly visible on the slopes of the valley. During the period of mass flowering, they are identified with the naked eye from a distance of several hundred meters.
Determination of the height of the defeat of the meadow slope of the mountain valley is carried out by measuring the maximum of the obtained values of the absolute heights of the upper boundary of the thickets of Astragalus goat-like, forming on the meadow slope affected by liquid fractions of an avalanche-like stream. The possibility of conducting observations with the aim of phytoindicating the height of the lesion will remain for several decades.
Example. On the left side of the valley. Genaldon, in the vicinity of the villages of Upper and Lower Kani (Central Caucasus, the Gizeldon River basin), in the zone of damage to meadow slopes by liquid fractions of an avalanche-like flow (consequences of a glacial catastrophe - the Kolka glacier descended on September 20, 2002), the height above the sea level was measured using an altimeter the boundaries of the newly formed thickets of Astragalus goat-like (Appendix: Fig. 1 and Fig. 2). The following measurement points were obtained for absolute elevations on the longitudinal profile of the port side of the valley, corresponding to the upper boundary of the damage to meadow slopes by liquid fractions of an avalanche-like flow:
Point 1 - mark 1402 m above sea level.
Point 2 - mark 1390 m above sea level.
Point 3 - mark 1363 m above sea level.
It follows that the maximum, from the measured heights of the defeat of the meadow slopes of the mountain valley with the liquid fractions of an avalanche-like flow, is 1402 m above sea level. This level is projected onto the surrounding slopes and taken as the maximum possible height of the slope damage zone for the entire mountain valley. In order to prevent human and material losses in this zone, the construction of capital facilities, as well as economic and other activities, is prohibited.
The proposed phytoindication method allows to increase the efficiency of the method for assessing natural hazards when monitoring sites for construction, during the formation of agroecosystems, in recreation, and also to expand the range of phytoindicators of glacial disasters.
