Abstract
A reverse slant lining structure of a furnace with a reduced part structure capable of achieving stable operation by laying lining bricks at the reduced part of the furnace by a reverse slant method to prevent the bricks from cracking. The structure is formed by laying the lining bricks (7a) so that the center axis (14) of the lining bricks (7a) at the reduced part (7) in the thickness direction is positioned on the iron skin (1a) of the reduced part (7) on an acute angle side (13) between a vertical axis (12) vertically extending from a furnace bottom (4) to a throat (8) along the iron skin (1) and a perpendicular axis (11) perpendicular to the iron skin (1a) of a straight body section (6).
