Abstract
A crystal oscillator includes a ceramic package, an electrode pad, a piezoelectric element, a conductive adhesive and a lid. The ceramic package comprises a first ceramic layer and a second ceramic layer, and the first and second ceramic layers are laminated so that a concave space is formed. The electrode pad that is composed of a plurality of laminated metal layers is disposed on one side of the upper surface of the first ceramic layer. One end of the piezoelectric element is fixed on the electrode pad so that the piezoelectric element can oscillate. The conductive adhesive is applied in the upper surface of the electrode pad so as to join one end of the piezoelectric element. The lid is attached to the upper portion of the ceramic package for sealing the ceramic package.
