Abstract

In a conventional method a base lens pressing jig is used for pressing a R surface of the peripheral part of a base lens, variations in the centering of the base lens tend to occur due to variations in curvature of the base lens surface and the roughness of the base lens surface, thus there was a problem in assuring the accuracy of centering of the base lens. In the present invention, the base lens is securely fixed at its periphery with a collet chuck (1) through each process step while it is being processed to prevent the center of the base lens (7) from shifting. Therefore a non-spherical shaped resin layer (8) is formed by a mold core (2) concentric with the collet chuck (1), and the accuracy of centering is significantly improved.
