This invention relates to a heat transfer printing method, including the steps of: (a) coating a layer of high polymer coating over a substrate surface; (b) placing a metal foil between a heat press head and the substrate; and (c) heat pressing the metal foil and the substrate having the high polymer coating by the heat press head. Thus, the metal foil is then heat transfer printed on the surface of the substrate having the high polymer coating. The method of this invention ensures endurance of the gilding pattern on the substrate to prevent separation and to allow provide an integration appearance while collocating the color of a single part on the substrate to other parts, thereby increasing the added values of the product.
