Abstract

The present invention relates to a refrigerator provided with an automatic ice maker using an ice tray making ice with favorable appearance. It can provide a suitable water supply amount even when the water supply amount is variable. The refrigerator 1 is provided with the automatic ice maker carrying out ice making by supplying water in a water supply tank 10 installed in a refrigeration chamber 2 to the ice tray 14 installed in a freezing chamber 4. In the ice tray 14, a longitudinal direction is partitioned into a plurality of rows by perpendicular partition walls 16, and each row partitioned by the perpendicular partition walls 16 is partitioned into a plurality of ice making blocks 18 by a lateral partition wall 17. A driving part 13 is provided for turning the ice tray 14 around a center axis between one row and another row of the plurality of partitioned rows, an outer wall 28 of the ice making block 18 is composed to abut at a plurality of portions on a circle formed by a turning locus 27 of the ice tray 14 turning around the center axis, and wall parts other than the outer wall 28 of the ice making block 18 are also shaped to match the outer wall 28 shape to form the ice making block 18 in a polygonal shape.
