Abstract

A monocrystal magnesium oxide sintered body is provided, in which the impurity in the magnesium oxide is 3 mass percentage or less. The monocrystal magnesium oxide has a relative density of 50% or more but less than 90%, and contains particles with a grain diameter of 200μm or more.
