Abstract

This invention provides a glass storage cassette, comprising an upper rack 12, a lower rack 13, and a plurality of lateral racks 14 for connecting the upper rack 12 and the lower rack 13. A storage chamber for storing pane glasses G is formed by the racks 12, 13, 14. In addition, the storage cassette of this invention includes a plurality of transverse extension ropes 16 provided to be disposed along each lateral racks 14 at equidistance, transecting the interior of the storage chamber in transverse direction; and a plurality of longitudinal extension supporting members 17, 117, provided to the transverse extension ropes 16 along the longitudinal direction, for supporting bottom face of the glass. While using this glass cassette, the glass is supported by a grid-configured supporting structure so as to steadily support a large-scale glass in a manner without bending deformation. In addition, the contact area between the glass and the supporting members is minimized to prevent the glass from being scratched or contaminated.
