Abstract

The present invention provides a hot-dip galvanized steel sheet having plateaus formed on the surface of hot-dip galvanized layer and a compound film containing Zn, Fe, and O deposited on each plateau, wherein the mean thickness of the compound film measured by chemical analysis is 10 to 100 nm and the [Fe]/([Fe]+[Zn]) of the compound film is 0.002 to 0.25 where [Fe] or [Zn] is content of Fe and Zn respectively in the compound film (atom. %). The hot-dip galvanized steel sheet of the present invention has excellent formability, adhesiveness and chemical conversion treatment performance, and therefor is suitable in the field of automobile and household electric appliance.
