Abstract

Ruyi Jinhuang Gao (Plaster) is an ointment prepared from boiled and concentrated water extracts of Ruyi Jinhuang San, a traditional formulation of powder type Chinese Medicine, standardized and registered in the Pharmacopoeia of China, and was usually used in the anti-inflammatory analgesic care for Chinese patients with myofacial, arthritis, trauma, shoulder, tendonitis, neuropathic, and various somatic pains. Ruyi Jinhuang San is composed of 10 kinds of herbal source, including Trichosanthes Root (320 part), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (160 part), Phellodenri Cortex (160 part), Rhei Rhizoma (160 part), Curcuma Zedorarica Rhizoma (160 part), Glycyrrhizae Radix (64 part), Magnoliae Cortex (64 part), Atractylodis Lancea Rhizoma (64 part), Arisaematis Rhizoma (64 part), and Auranti Nobilis Pericarpium (64 part).
