Bulus, uçlardan (104, 105) birbirine baglanan bir çift esnek ögeyi içeren (102,103) ayarlanabilir bir destekle (101) ilgilidir. Esnek ögeler (102, 103) bir öge (103) genelde dahili olarak destege yerlestirilirken diger ögenin (102) genelde harici olarak destege yerlestirilmesi için kivrilirlar. Araçlar (11, 16) ögeler arasindaki mesafeyi ayarlamak üzere uçlari (104, 105) arasindaki her iki ögeyle (102, 103) birlikte çalismalari için saglanirlar. Araçlar (11, 16) birbirlerine dogru bir yönde hareket ederlerse, örnegin destegin yari yolunda, dahili ögede (103) çekme kuvvetleri ve harici ögede (102) basinç kuvvetleri olusturulacaktir ve olusan kuvveti ek olarak destegin (101) kivrilmasina yol açacaktir. Kullanim alani tercihen kisisel bir anatomiye adapte edilmesi zorunlu olan hoparlörü, gözlügün yan kenarlarini vb. tutmak için kulak arkasina uzanmak zorunda olan destekler içindir.
