Abstract
Bu bulus, siklooksijenaz (COX) inhibitörleri olan ve özelde siklooksijenaz-2' nin (COX/2) seçici inhibitörleri olan piridazinon bilesiklerini anlatmaktadir, COX-2, aralarinda gastrointestinal (GI) yolu ve böbrekler bulunan bir çok dokuda önemli bir "bakici" enzim olan kurucu izoform olan siklooksijenaz-1' in (COX-1) tersine, iltihaplanma ile ortaya çikan uyarilabilir izoformdur. Contrary to the founding isoform, cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), it is an excitable isoform that occurs with inflammation. The selectivity of these compounds for COX-2 minimizes the undesirable GI and renal (kidney) side effects currently seen with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) on the market.
