Abstract
The self-propelled tracked bridge layer carries a bridge section (10,10') which can be laid selectively as a single long bridge or two parallel shorter bridge (2) lengths. Each bridge section (10,10') has a fixed ramp (13) as a bend-resistant carrier, and a moving ramp (15) as a stiff plate against bending. The moving ramp (15) is linked (14) to the fixed ramp (13) at the track surface area, to swing between raised and lowered positions. In both positions, the moving ramp (15) is locked to the fixed ramp (13) by a lower coupling in a stiff locked position against bending.
