DC60 (18/05/54) The object of the invention is to inhibit the deterioration of rider comfort by warm air escaping from the tonneau cover of a saddle-type vehicle. The tonneau cover (8) of a saddle-type vehicle has several inclined faces (41a- 41c) on its top face (31). Each of the inclined faces (41a and 41b) is inclined so as to position its front higher than its rear face. The inclined faces (41a and 41b) are arranged at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. The inclined faces (41a and 41b) form an airway (44a) between which the airway (44a) interfaces with an interior space enclosed by the tonneau cover (8), wherein the top face (31) has a first leaf (42a) extending further rearward than the inclined face (41a). The object of the invention is to inhibit rider comfort. To reduce the warm air flowing out of the body cover of a saddle type vehicle, the body cover (8) of a saddle type vehicle has several inclined faces (41a- 41c) on its top face (31). Each of the inclined faces (41a and 41b) is inclined so as to position its front higher than its rear. The inclined faces (41a and 41b) are positioned at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. The inclined faces (41a and 41b) form an airway (44a). Between them, the airway (44a) interfaces with the interior space enclosed by the body cover (8), with the top face (31) having a first leaf (42a) extending further rearward than the inclined face (41a).

Claims (4)

A vehicle having a saddle comprising a frame unit (22) supporting the steering unit (6) and a seat (7) arranged behind the steering unit (6), a drive unit (4) arranged between the steering unit (6) and the seat (7), and a body cover (8) having a top surface (31) arranged between the steering unit (6) and the seat (7) covering the top of the frame unit (22), and side surfaces (32,33) covering at least part of the sides of the drive unit (4), wherein the top surface (31) of the body cover (8) has plurality of inclined faces (41a,41b,41c) where each inclined face is inclined so as to position its front higher than its rear, the inclined faces (41a,41b,41c) are arranged apart along the longitudinal direction of the body, the inclined faces (41a ,41b,41c) form one or more air passages (44a,44b) between the inclined faces (41a,41b,41c) on each of the two adjacent inclined faces, wherein the one or more air passages (44a, 44b) are in contact with the interior space enclosed by the body cover (8), and the top surface (31) of the body cover (8) has a first leaf section (42a,42b,42c) extending rearward on the inclined faces. A vehicle of the type having a saddle according to claim 1, further comprising a front wheel (2), a rear wheel (3), wherein the driving unit (4) is positioned between the front wheel (2) and the rear wheel (3), wherein the steering unit (6) has a front fork (24) supporting the front wheel (2) so that the front wheel (2) can rotate, and a handle (26) connected to the top of the front fork (24), a head tube (21) supporting the steering unit (6) so that the steering unit (6) can rotate. Wherein the frame unit (22) is connected to the header pipe (21), wherein the frame unit (22) is positioned on the drive unit (4). 3. A vehicle having a saddle according to any one of claims 1 or 2, wherein the side face portion (32, 33) has an opening (45) positioned lower than the airway (44a, 44b) alternatively when viewed from the side of the vehicle body, wherein the opening (45) interfaces with an interior space enclosed by the body cover (8). 4. A vehicle having a saddle according to claim 3, wherein the body cover (8) has a guide plate portion (47) positioned inside the opening (45), and a second blade (48a, 48b) positioned on the outer face of the guide plate (47), wherein the second blade (48a, 48b) extends vertically. The latest portion of the guide plate (47) shall be welded to the front side surfaces (32,33), and the top of the guide plate (47) shall be disposed away from the side surfaces (32,33). 5. Vehicles of the type having a saddle according to rights 3 or 4, wherein the side surfaces (32,33) shall have a guide portion (51) disposed behind the opening (45), wherein the guide portion (51) shall extend in the direction of the longitudinal side of the vehicle body. 6. Vehicles of the type having a saddle according to any one of rights 3 or 5, wherein the vehicle body cover (8) shall have a third leaf portion (49a, 49b, 49c) disposed across the opening (45), wherein the third leaf portion (49a, 49b, 49c) shall extend in the direction of the longitudinal side of the vehicle body. 7. Vehicles of the type having a saddle according to any one of rights 3 or 5. Whereas the body cover (8) has a first cover assembly (61) and a second cover assembly (62) formed as individual components separate from the first assembly, the first cover assembly (61) has a guide plate portion (47) disposed inside the side face portions (32,33), with the guide plate (47) facing the opening (45,), the guide plate (47) at its lowest portion is welded to the side face portions (32,33), the guide plate (47) has its lowest portion welded to the side face portions (32,33), the second member (48a,48b) extends vertically, and the side face portions (32,33), and the second cover assembly (62) has a third member portion (49a,49b,49,) and another side face portion. 8.
