Abstract

Claims (7)

1. A disposable diaper consisting of a permeable top sheet, an impermeable back sheet, and an absorbent core sandwiched between the two sheets, with at least one detachable colostomy pad attached to the crotch area. The colostomy pad has a centerline, anterior waistline, posterior waistline, and crotch area. Specifically, the colostomy pad has pleats in its longitudinal direction, with a pair of pleats having a Z-shaped cross-section. These pleats are formed by a lower fold toward the centerline and an upper fold over that lower fold. Each side edge parallel to the longitudinal direction of the colostomy pad is attached to the upper fold in a detachable state. When the pleats are pulled outward in the opposite direction, the colostomy pad is detached from the absorbent core. 2. Diapers under claim 1, whereby such fecal disposal pads are water-degradable. 3. The diaper under claim 1, where the side-to-side adhesion strength of the fecal pad is lower than the width-to-width tear strength of the fecal pad. 4. Diapers as per claim 3, where the bonding strength is in the range of 30-200 g/25 mm when the fecal pad is dry and in the range of 20-100 g/25 mm when the fecal pad is raised. 5. Diapers under claim 1 where the bottom part of the pleat has a width of 10-60 mm. 6. The diaper under claim 1 where such pleats are formed on the side wings extending outwards from the side edge of the absorbent core in a longitudinal direction. 7. The diaper under claim 1, whereby the aforementioned fecal disposal pad is attached only to the upper part of the aforementioned pleat in the crotch area, and the aforementioned pleats in the waist area, front and back, can be unfolded to the sides.
