Abstract

DC60 A mounting assembly disclosed for attaching a removable toilet seat and/or cover to the rear of a toilet base. This assembly includes a permanently attached fastener to the toilet base, mounted on a cross-shaped fastener. The fastener is engaged by a bendable arm extending from the hinged base. The arm is slightly bent outward during attachment and disassembly, where attachment and disassembly are accomplished by a horizontal sliding motion. The pivoting cover presses against one of the arms to enclose the fasteners and prevents bending of the arms, thereby separating the base assembly from the fasteners. The mounting assembly disclosed for attaching a removable toilet seat and/or cover to the rear of a toilet base. This assembly includes a permanently attached fastener to the toilet base, mounted on a cross-shaped fastener. The fastener is engaged by a bendable arm. Bendable arms extending from the hinge base, the arms are slightly extended outward during attachment and disassembly, where attachment and disassembly are accomplished by a horizontal sliding motion. A pivoting cover presses against one of the arms to securely enclose the fixture and prevent flexing of the arms and thus separating the base assembly from the fixture.

Claims (9)

1. An assembly for attaching the cover to the toilet base, comprising a detachable extending fastener for the rear projection of the toilet base, a base member adapted to support the cover by means of a rotational axis, the base member having a bendable extension arm for necessary horizontal extension substantially parallel to the top surface of the rear projection of the toilet base member in use and forming part of the opening for supporting the fastener, and a coupling arranged around the fastener having an extension arm on the top of the extension arm, wherein the base member is connected to and disconnected from the fastener by rotational flexure of the extension arm in a necessary horizontal plane substantially parallel to the top surface of the rear projection of the toilet base member, such that the base member is detachably attached to the toilet base. 2. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the attachment part has a cross shape as shown above. 3. The assembly of claim 2, wherein the coupler has a cross arm at the front that limits the relative rotation of the coupler with respect to the base member. 4. The assembly of claim 2, wherein the coupler has an underside portion. 5. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the base member has two extension arms arranged so as to be spaced on opposite sides of the opening, such that the arm's arcs can be clamped to the coupler's arcs. 6. The assembly of claim 1, further including a cover capable of limiting the outward deflection of the extendable arm when the cover is in the closed position. 7. The assembly of claim 6, wherein the cover is folded over the base assembly. 8. The assembly of claim 7, wherein the cover is connected to the base assembly via a pivot hinge. 9. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the fastener comprises a bolt capable of extending through an opening in the base member and a hole in the rear projection of the toilet base, and wherein the assembly further comprises a nut capable of being positioned on the bolt located under the rear projection of the toilet base 1. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the cover is selected from a group comprising a toilet seat, a toilet cover, and is assembled together with the seat and the toilet cover.
