This dried taro starch powder, vegetable oil, and distilled water are then thoroughly mixed and steamed. Finally, the sodium chloride and calcium hydroxide solutions are added and mixed until a homogeneous mixture is achieved. The entire process is simple and straightforward, allowing for production on both small and large scales. The resulting product can be mixed with various printing dyes such as pigments, reactive dyes, direct dyes, and natural dyes to create desired patterns on fabric.

Claims

1. Starch thickener for textile printing consists mainly of: 20% by weight of dry taro starch powder, 5% by weight of vegetable oil, 35% by weight of distilled water, 30% by weight of 1 gram/liter sodium chloride solution, and 10% by weight of 1 gram/liter calcium hydroxide solution.

2. The process for producing the thickening agent from taro starch for fabric printing according to Patent 1 is as follows: - Mix dry taro starch powder with vegetable oil and distilled water, stirring until all ingredients are homogeneous at room temperature. - Place the mixture onto cheesecloth, wrap it securely, and steam it for 1 hour. - Mix the steamed taro starch powder with a 1 gram per liter solution of sodium chloride (NaCl) and a 1 gram per liter solution of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2). - Apply the resulting thickening agent for fabric printing.
