The closure flaps enclosing the leg area and the elastic band enclosing the waist overlap at least on such binding line and are adjacent to the elastic band that lies across the closure flaps enclosing the leg area and the top sheet.

Disposable pant-type coverings shall include the inclusion of (a) a basic component which shall at least include a liquid-permeable top sheet and a liquid-impermeable bottom sheet. The structure of such basic component is determined by such opposite ends and such opposite side edges; (b) leg flaps extending inward from such side edges and situated above such basic component. When the basic component is flat, the outer edge of such flaps is attached to such basic component along such opposite side edges, of which the inner edge of such flaps is free from such basic component. The flaps whose end is attached to such basic component are attached to such opposite end edges of such basic component; and (c) a waist band extending inward from such leg flaps and situated above such basic component. When the basic component is flat, the end of such waist band whose end is attached to such basic component is attached to such opposite end edges of such basic component, of which the outer edge of such band is free from such basic component. The inner, secured side of the wing and the outer, unsecured side of the strip are joined together to form an open area surrounding the leg.
