Description
(54) METHOD OF OBTAINING VOLLASTONITA
1: The invention relates to the industry of building materials and can advantageously be used in the ceramic industry. A known method for producing wollstones by synthesizing az mixture of silica and quartz sand (1J. HavSonee close to that proposed by the technical essence and the achieved result is a method for producing wollastonite, including grinding natural silica limestone and its subsequent calcination at 9OO C {.2). The disadvantage of these methods is the low yield of wollastonite. The purpose of the invention is to increase the yield of the target product. The aim is achieved by the fact that according to the method for producing wollastonifflTa, including grinding Before calcining, natural limestone and its burning are treated with water suspensions of a live culture of silicate bacteria BdCiBCus muoiCatjinasus- in the amount of 10–20OO Tbic. cells / g of raw material at 1035 ° С, humidity 12–50% during C-30 day. As a culture of silicate bacteria 6 "ci22us muciPoc inasus, strain No. 4 is used. Silicate bacteria introduced into silica limestone destroy the crystalline structure of silica KcnuinoHeHTa, translating it into an active amorphous state, which causes an intensification of the Si reaction ntteza wollastonite. The method is illustrated by the following examples. Example 1. Silica-based materials from the Senatovsky Field of the Moldavian SSR, in an amount of 20 kg with a ratio of CaO: SiO2, equal to 1 and reduced to a maximum cuck size of 5 mm and treated with an aqueous suspension of silicate bacteria, maintained at 30% humidity and 30 ° C in for 30 days. The required amount of silicate bacteria suspension is preliminarily diluted with a certain amount of water to obtain the required mass moisture. At the end of the treatment, the powder is dried, ground and granulated. The pellets are burned at

2. 2within 2 hours. Control serves From table. 1, it follows that a decrease in the concentration of bacteria of less than 10 and more than 12OOO does not significantly affect the amount of wollastonite synthesized. Example 2. Silica limestone, specified in example 1, is treated with a suspension of silicate bacteria in an amount of 2% relative to the mass of dry matter and maintained at a moisture content of 11.12.2 ° O, 30 ° C, 5O, 7O% and a temperature of 30 ° C for ZO day After that, burn at 900 ° C for 2 h. The test results are presented in Table. 2. Table 2

5%.The yield of wollastonite is determined by quantitative X-ray diffraction analysis using an external standard method. The maximum error in determining the amount of wollastonite is 5%.
1.The test results are shown in Table. one.

3. 375 10 From tab. 2, it follows that decreasing the moisture content of the mass of less than 12% leads to a significant decrease in the amount of wollastonite synthesized, which is associated with the creation of unfavorable conditions for the life of silicate bacteria. . Example 3. Silica limestone, specified in the example, is treated with a suspension of silicate bacteria in an amount of 2% relative to the mass of dry matter and maintained at a moisture content of 30% and a temperature of 1O, 2O, 30, 35 ° C for 30 days, after which it is burned at 900 ° C for 2 hours. Conducting the process at temperatures below 10 ° C and above 35 ° C is impractical, since this creates unfavorable conditions for the life of silicate bacteria. The test results are presented in Table. 3. Table 3
Example 4. Silica limestone, specified in example 1, is treated with a suspension of silicate bacteria in an amount of 2% relative to the mass of dry matter and withstands 30% at a temperature of 2, 5, 10, 2O, 30, 40 days after which is calcined at 900 ° C for 2 hours.
4.The test results are presented in tab. four.
