Description

TiCU(54) METHOD FOR CLEANING DEPARTMENTS OF WLOWS FROM TiCU STEAMS

1one

TiCl.The invention relates to methods for chemical purification of fumes and can be used to clean industrial waste gases from TiCl impurities.

1.There is a known method for removing TiCl4 from waste gases by absorbing vapors of TiCU with transformer oil 1.

2.There is also known a method for removing TiCl from exhaust gases by absorption by hydrocarbons, followed by treating the solution with ammonia to form solid products G TiCl4. The cleaning process takes place in three stages. The first stage is the absorption of Ti vapors (l4 by carbonic esters. The second stage consists in treating the solution with am.miak. The third stage is the precipitation of a solid product to regenerate the absorbent 2.

Недостатками известного способа,  вл ютс  сложность технологического процесса, вытекающа  из его трехстадийности, пожароопасность , св занна  с использованием органических растворителей, и невозможность очистки отход щих газов без их предварительного охлаждени .The disadvantages of the known method are the complexity of the technological process arising from its three-stage nature, the fire hazard associated with the use of organic solvents, and the impossibility of cleaning the exhaust gases without pre-cooling them.

TiCl.The aim of the invention is to simplify the method of purifying waste gases from TiCl.

This goal is achieved in that according to the method of cleaning exhaust gases 5 from vapor by sorption, the process is carried out by passing a stream of exhaust gases through a layer of porous sorbent metallized with copper.

The method is carried out as follows.

10ten

A porous sorbent is loaded into the adsorber, the surface of which is coated with metallic copper. A gas stream with a temperature of O-300 ° C, containing TiCl vapors, is passed through an absorber layer, in which the chemisorption of TiCl4 vapor proceeds according to the equation

Са-t-TiCl - Cu().Ca-t-TiCl - Cu ().

A gas-air mixture with a vapor concentration of Ti (4–10 mg / l at 180 ° C was fed at a specific rate of 0.5 l / min-cm to an adsorber containing 20 g of sorbent. The sorbent consisted of silica gel, 5 coated with metallic copper. Metal copper deposited on silica gel by impregnation of the latter with a saturated solution of copper nitrate, followed by thermal decomposition to CuO and reduction in a stream of hydrogen. The capacity of the sorbent in TiCl4.

The advantage of this method is the simplification of the technology for the removal of TiCl from waste gases, which consists in creating a single-stage fireproof removal process suitable for cleaning both hot and cold gases.
