Description
(54) COATING FOR CASTING FORMS AND RODS
1one
The invention relates to a foundry, in particular, to coating compositions for casting molds and cores made from heat-curable liquid glass mixtures.
A coating is known for casting molds 5 and rods, which are soda-fused sulphite bard with a density of 1120 -1200 kg / m 50-67, w / o and KVS resin of the same density - the rest 1. Adding resin increases
науглероживани поверхности стальных отливок , кроме того, эта смола в СССР сн та с производства.carburizing the surface of steel castings; moreover, this resin was removed from production in the USSR.
1,0 2.The closest to the proposed technical essence and the achieved result is a coating for liquid glass mixtures based on calcium chloride the following, its composition, parts: calcium chloride (technical) 1.5; water 1.0 2.
The disadvantage of the coating is the low strength of the surface of the molds and cores with its use after drying.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the surface strength of the molds and cores.
ьно содержит водный раствор лигносульфи .:тов плотностью 1,10-1,28 |-/см при следующел соотнощении ингредиентов, вес.%:The goal is achieved by the fact that the coating, including calcium chloride, is supplemented, but does not contain an aqueous solution of lignosulfide.: With a density of 1.10-1.28 | - / cm with the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%:
1,5-6,5Calcium chloride 1.5-6.5

м density 1,100-1,280 g with. m

The coating is prepared as follows.
Полученное покрытие нанос т на поверхность формы или стержн распылением из пульверизатора или кистью перед подсушкой .Calcium chloride is added to an aqueous solution of lignosulfonates (PRS and RRT) and stirred until complete dissolution. The resulting coating is applied to the surface of the mold or rod by spraying from a spray bottle or with a brush before drying.
1Entering calcium chloride into the coating activates the oxidation processes and the rate of polymerization of lignosulfonates under the action of heat, which leads to an increase in the surface strength of the forms and cores coated with a coating. The compositions and properties of the coating are given in table. 1 and 2. As can be seen from the table. 2 data the proposed coating increases the strength of the samples compared to the prototype when the content of calcium chloride is 1.5-6.5%. When the calcium chloride is kept outside this range, the strength of the samples is comparable to the strength of samples made using the prototype coating. Based on data analysis, the lower limit of calcium chloride is 1.5 wt.%, The upper 6.5 wt.%. The use of the proposed device allows increasing the surface strength of the molds and cores by 30-40%, which leads to a reduction in cast rejects due to clogging, demolition, disruption of geometry or allows to achieve the required surface strength with a reduced content of liquid glass.
