SUBSTANCE: 1. diaphragmless electrolyzer for magnesium and chlorine production has working sections with introduced through bottom anodes and fixed in walls cantilever-type cathodes, located perpendicularly to electrodes combined cell partitioned from working sections by adjoining anodes dividing partition with upper and lower windows for electrolyte circulation. Electrolyzer differs from others by the fact, that to decrease chlorine losses and to increase service life of electrolyzer anodes have changeable width diminishing over level of upper edge of cathodes from side of complex cell and partition thickness over upper circulation window is increased in direction of narrowed part of anodes. 2. Electrolyzer is corresponding to point 1 and differs by the fact, that partition has solid concrete layer located inside its wide part. EFFECT: improved design.
