Description

The invention relates to devices that facilitate the grinding of beams and protect against flooding of fuels.

The described device for grinding beams is made in the form of two pontoons connected by transition bridges, between which a beam is inserted, which is covered before the loop by means of a sling, mounted on one of the pontoons and wound on a winch drum mounted on the pontoon.

A distinctive feature of the device is the use of a mesh placed between the pontoons to trap the fuel discharged when the beam is ground.

The proposed device for grinding beams (Figs. 1 and 2), made in the form of two pontoons 1 and 2, connected to one another by means of transition bridges 3 for rigidity, has a cable or chain net, placed between the pontoons and intended to trap the fuse discharging Beam grinding.

The cables or chains 4, forming the net, intersect in the longitudinal and transverse directions, and they are connected by wires at the intersection points. In addition, the chain net is in general covered with wire mesh forming small cells.

On the side of the pontoon / cables or chains are attached to the pipe 5, and on the opposite side, the free ends of the chains are fixed to the hooks located on the end crossbar of the pontoon 2.

The operation of the device for grinding beams is as follows.

A bundle placed in the grinding chamber (above the chain net 4) of the device is installed laterally to the pontoon /. Then, in order to ensure the safety of the work during the grinding of beams, as well as in the interests of preserving tied material, before grinding with a sling (cable or chains) the beam in the middle is enclosed by a loop 19, one end of which is put on the hook of the barrel of winch 8, and the other is laid in the lock fastened on the pontoon 1 (Fig. 5).

Thereafter, a pull-up cable is pulled, winding it onto the winch drum, to create some tension in the cable, sufficient to loosen the binding bands. The loose straps are removed from the bundle and laid on a special rigging raft. After removal, the lock is opened. The release bundle crumbles to form a transverse crest.

Separately, logs that have a specific weight of more than one (fuel) are deposited on the chain grid 4, and floating logs under the pressure of a collapsing beam and with the help of workers are pushed to pontoon 2 and further along its bottom 12 to the unloading unit. The fuels accumulating in the chain grid 4 are periodically removed, and the removal of the fuel cells begins with the raising of the chain grid 4, which is given the position shown in FIG. 6 (position A).

After the operations with the fuel are completed, the chain net 4 assumes again the working position (Fig. 6, position B), and the operation of this device is repeated.
