В реакционный сосуд над поверхностью кумароновой ф эакции пропускают газообразную двуокись азота и слегка помешивают содерж мое сосуда. По окончании полимеризации от отработанной фракции острым паром отгон ют т желый бензол. Остаток представл ет собой кумароновую смолу. Выход составл ет 32-35% от исходной фракции. Полимеризаци  с двуокисью азота идет быстро и до конца.
