Description

In auth. St. No. 70303 set forth a method (Obtaining a substitute for varnish from petroleum hydrocarbons. The substitute of varnish obtained by this method has the disadvantage that it is not suitable for painting exterior objects.

№ 70303.The proposed method for obtaining a substitute for drying oil suitable for painting outdoor objects differs from the method described in ed. St. No. 70303, in that the ethers are combined first with unsaturated fatty acids (Hnayrimer, with α-acids of flax or sunflower oil), after which the resulting reaction mixture is treated according to the method outlined in ed. ov No. 70303.

Tests on drying, water resistance of the film and its aging, as well as on its small properties showed that the obtained drying oil substitute does not significantly differ from natural drying oil.

Example. 66 parts by weight of ether acids (with an acid number of 109), obtained from kerosene, are combined with 35 weight parts of linseed fatty acids by heating the mixture to a temperature of 80-90 ° C and stirring for 2 hours. until a homogeneous clear liquid is obtained. From the mixture of acids obtained (acid number 138.5), their aluminum salts are prepared and even the solution of aluminum salts according to the method described in the ed. St. 70303. Olifa is obtained by treating a solution of aluminum salts with 4 parts by weight of lead-manganese naphthenate desiccant s for 30 minutes. at a temperature and working mixer. The yield is 200 parts by weight of drying oil containing 100 parts by weight of solvent. The content in the drying oil active lead 0.12%, active manganese 0.04%. The viscosity of the drying oil of an npi temperature of 20 ° C is equal to 9.8 ° according to the peru.
