Description
II
This invention relates to medicine and to the treatment of pneumonia.
Известно применение микробных липо- полисахаридов (продигиозана) при лечении пневмонии l.The use of microbial lipopolysaccharides (prodigiosan) in the treatment of pneumonia is known l.
However, microbial lipopolysaccharides, even in therapeutic doses, exhibit some toxic properties and have a pyrogenic effect.
2j.Polysaccharides A and B, isolated from the gastric mucosa of animals 2j, are used to expand the range of treatments for pneumonia that do not exhibit toxic properties and have no pyrogenic effect.
The preparation is a 2% sterile solution of group-specific polysaccharides A or B, obtained from porcine or loschadny stomachs and subjected to additional purification by dissolving sodium chloride in 0.9% solution followed by precipitation of 6% by volume of ethyl alcohol. Solutions of the drug are apyrogenic and non-toxic.
The Pharmacological Committee of the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Security recommended to allow medical use and industrial production of the drug and gave it the name of Fruglumin.
The drug is administered intramuscularly at intervals of 1-3 days in doses: children up to 1 year old - 1 O mg (O, 5 ml of solution), children more than a year old - 2 O mg (1, O ml of 2% solution). During the course of the liver, 3 to 6 doses of the drug are administered.
