Вода из полого затвора 1 откачиваетс  через сифон 5 в дренажный колодец 6. Затвор I открываетс  и заполн ет водой нижний бьеф 13. При этом происходит стабилизаци  уровн . При подъеме воды в верхнем бьефе 9 до уровн  22, на который настроен датчик 11 верхнего бьефа 9, клапан 15 открывает отверстие 14 и воздух, поступивший в пиневмотрубопровод 10, разр жает сифон 3.
