Description
(54) CENTRIFUGAL CASTING METHOD
1one
This invention relates to metallurgy, in particular, to large-scale centrifugal casting technology from ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
1.There is a method of centrifugal casting, including the pouring of metal through the chute and the flow of flux into the mold of the centrifugal machine 1.
However, this method cannot be used in 6biTbjic, when casting large-sized centrifugal blanks with the appropriate quality.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of large-sized casting.
The goal is achieved by the fact that the flux placed in combustible packages is uniformly distributed along the length of the filling chute before entering the mold.
The described method is carried out as follows.
При подготовке центробежной машины к заливке металлом легкоплавкий флюс измельчают до пылевидной фракции и расфасовывают в сгораемые пакеты (целофановые , бумажные к др.), а затем пакеты распредел ют и закрепл ют, например, проволокой по всей длине на желобе заливочного устройства перед вводом его в изложницу .In preparing the centrifugal machine for metal pouring, the low melting flux is crushed to a dust-like fraction and packaged in flammable bags (polyethylene, paper, etc.), and then the bags are distributed and fixed, for example, along the entire length of the filler chute before entering it a mold
Направленное затвердевание отливки способствует более полному выделению из металла вредных примесей и неметаллических включений .In the initial period of pouring the metal into the rotary mold, the packages are burned and the flux is poured out, evenly covering the free surface of the forming casting. When in contact with the metal, the low melting flux melts and, as a result of the turbulent motion of the metal in the rotating form, is thoroughly mixed with the metal entering the mold from the slit-shaped feeders of the elongated casting chute. In this case, a high degree of metal refining with a flux of harmful impurities, of metal inclusions and gases is achieved. The reacted flux with the metal is expelled by centrifugal forces to the free surface of the casting, and protects it from oxidation of the atmosphere of the mold cavity by oxygen, and also warms it, contributing to the directional solidification of the metal. Directional solidification of the casting contributes to a more complete release of impurities and non-metallic inclusions from the metal.
Example. According to the described method, an industrial batch of bronze blanks is cast Br. 6-4-2-1 with a diameter of 1380 mm, a length of 8500 mm and a weight of 22 tons.
The casting of the blanks is carried out using a flux of the following composition, wt. ° / o:
15Sodium fluoride 15
85Boric anhydride 85
The flux in the amount of 2% of the weight of the metal being poured, i.e. 240 kg, is packaged in crushed form into 30 kg plastic bags each and four packages are fixed with wire along the entire length of two filling chutes, since the metal is poured from two sides molds centrifugal machine. Metal pouring temperature 1050 ° С; filling duration 180-190 s.
When inspecting the test blanks, a uniform distribution of the flux on the inner surface of the castings along the entire length was established. Prototype blanks are distinguished by a high degree of physicochemical homogeneity of the cast metal, and strength and plastic characteristics are 30–40% higher than those stipulated by the technical conditions for blanks from Br. OTsSN6-4-2-1, centrifugal cast method.
The economic efficiency of the method in the casting of large-sized
заготовок обеспечиваетс за счет снижени припусков на ; механическую обработку их внутренней поверхности на 40-60 %, а также сокращени брака в литье в 1,5-2 раза по сравнению с отливкой крупногабаритных стальных и бронзовых заготовок центробежным способом по известной технологии.blanks are provided by reducing allowances; machining their inner surface by 40-60%, as well as reducing casting rejects by 1.5-2 times as compared with casting large-sized steel and bronze billets using a centrifugal method according to known technology.
The introduction of new technology saves 150-200 p. for each ton of large-sized casting in the production of blanks up to 1000 mm and master the manufacture of centrifugally cast billets of bronze with a diameter of 1500 mm.
