Description
This invention relates to a technology for the production of soda ash by the ammonia process and aims to increase the output of soda per unit volume of mother liquor.
The proposed method for producing soda is as follows. The ammonia-saline brine is saturated with carbon dioxide, after which the precipitated sodium bicarbonate precipitate is separated from the primary mother liquor, washed and processed into soda ash in the usual way. The primary mother liquor is saturated with ammonia, carbon dioxide and solid sodium chloride to approximately the point of triple saturation of the solution with sodium bicarbonate, ammonium bicarbonate and ammonia at room temperature. A precipitate consisting of crystalline sodium bicarbonate mixed with solid table salt, which is unsuitable for calcination, is formed. This precipitate separates from the secondary mother liquor and, without being washed, dissolves in ammoniacal salt water.
During carbonization of such an ammonia-saline brine, this sodium bicarbonate completely precipitates back into the sediment, which leads to a significant increase in the yield of soda and against the existing one. Ammonia gas is regenerated from the secondary mother liquor in the usual way.
Обычна схема аммиачно-содового процесса не создает возможности получить бикарбонат натри надлежащей физической структуры, обеспечивающей хорощую его фильтрацию , прамывку и кальцинацию, и достигнуть в то же са:мое врем высокой степени утилизации натри .The usual scheme of the ammonia-soda process does not create the possibility of obtaining sodium bicarbonate with a proper physical structure, ensuring its good filtration, straining and calcination, and at the same time: achieving a high degree of sodium utilization.
In contrast, if the low-quality sodium bicarbonate precipitate obtained in the second phase of the process is recrystallized by dissolving in fresh ammonia-saline brine fed to the carbon in the first phase of the process, during the process of carbonization of the liquid this sodium bicarbonate again crystallizes, but already in form of sediment good physical structure.
Example. In a liter of ammonia-saline brine containing 225 g of NaCl, 83 g of MNZ and 35 g of GO ,, is dissolved in g of NaHCO3 obtained in the second phase of the process.
82 %.When this solution is carbonized with 45% carbon dioxide, 360 g of NaHCOs precipitated for calcination are precipitated. The filtrate contains an ethanol solution of 88 g of NaCl, 178 g of NH.iCI, 21 g of NHs and 42 g of COa. 20 g of NHs, 50 g of NaCl and 60 g of CO are saturated. At the same time, PO of g KAYSO 3 precipitates, which are fed back to dissolution in ammonia-saline solution. Secondary mother liquor: the liquid contains a jniTp solution of 58 g of NaGl, 245 g of NFLtCl, 20 g of NH., And 40 g of COa, which corresponds to a degree of sodium utilization of 82%.
