Description
Table 1 shows the compositions and properties of coatings. From tab. 1 that the most significant decrease is observed in composition 4. A further increase or decrease in the content from 20 and 30, as well as monoethanolamide: 2 and 3 is impractical, as the effect decreases (when the content is 20% clay) or the coating consumption increases significantly clay content of 30% and monoethanolamide (3%). The protective effect of the coating increases significantly if it is obtained in two layers. For this, after the first layer is dried, the metal is re-dipped in the mud solution, followed by drying before heating the metal in the furnace. -. The coating, after heating the metal, is easily removed by hydroscopic removal. But in some cases it is advisable to leave the coating to use it as a lubricant in the process of hot rolling. Under laboratory conditions, a lubricating effect of the coating was tested on a two-roll mill with a roll diameter of 210 mm, at a speed of 2 m / s. On the rollers of St 9 hf, ground in class b, cooled by water, strips of Art. 3, heated in an electric furnace before. Rolled 10 samples without coating and with coating (clay 20%, monoethanolamide 2%) with the help of mesdose, the force on the rolls was determined, which was calculated
Table 1 mean pressure. Experimental test data of the coating as a technological lubricant are given in Table 2. From tab. 2 that the coating remaining on the metal during the hot rolling process is a highly effective lubricant. Under hot-rolled steel strip conditions, the average contact pressure is reduced to 27% compared to uncoated rolling. The coating is manufactured as follows. In the tank, equipped with a tubular heater (coil), water is poured (chemically dried) and heated to b5-70 °. Monoethanolamide is gradually added to the hot water and stirred until it is completely dissolved. Clay of fine fraction (not more than 0.25 mm) is gradually added to the solution with continuous stirring. When the composition is cooled to 20-30 seconds, the coatings are stable and not stratified. The coating is carried on a metal heated to 40-50 ° C by dipping or brushing, followed by drying with air. To increase the effectiveness of the coating, it is made double-layered, with intermediate drying. The use of this coating makes it possible to reduce the loss of metal on carbon by an average of 50% and reduce the energy-power parameters during hot rolling up to 27% with minimal costs for the coating.
