Description
This invention relates to methods for refilling worn steel liners with a lead bronze antifriction layer.
Usually, refilling is preceded by the removal of the old waste layer. Removal is carried out mechanically or by melting. For the latter, molten antifriction metal (lead bronze), prepared to fill a new layer, is sometimes used. A worn insert is immersed in a bath of molten metal and held there until the anti-friction alloy layer melts. Thereafter, a clean steel liner is removed from the bath and sent for casting using one of the known methods.
Предлагаемый насто шим изобретением способ относитс к этим последним , но отличаетс от них тем, что старый слой антифрикционного сплава предварительно не удал етс .The method proposed by the present invention relates to these latter, but differs from them in that the old anti-friction alloy layer is not previously removed.
The method consists in the fact that the worn liners are assembled in pairs, the rod is prevented into the formed cylindrical cavity.
Вкладыши после этого подвергают искусственному охлаждению, в результате чего жидкий сплав прочно пристаёт к вкладышу.and liners are immersed in a bath of new molten metal. The liners are held in a bath until the old layer melts, then removed; at the same time, the annular gap between the liners and the rod is filled with liquid metal. The liners are then subjected to artificial cooling, with the result that the liquid alloy strongly adheres to the liner.
The rod, inserted into the cavity of the assembled liners, is provided at the bottom with a flange. On the latter, the liners are supported by their edges, forming a cylinder with the rod, the bottom of which is the flange. When the liners are immersed in the bath, the cylindrical gap between the liners and the rod is filled with molten metal.
To protect steel liners from oxidation when heated, their outer surface is coated with paste, which is generally known. In this case, the paste is made from powdered tripoli and graphite mixed in water.
Imitation paste contains 30% and graphite 35% by weight of the entire paste.
