Description
IIn the usual method of preparing shikkativov by the exchange decomposition of sodium soaps with siccative metal salts, washing the resulting patch from sodium soap and other salts represents a great difficulty, since it is; It is necessary to apply multiple | washing with water followed by | removing it by drying or; evaporation. I
Наличность в водном растворе солей обусловливает высаливание и, следовательно , более быстрое освобождение скипидарного раствора от влаги и эмульсии, которое может быть ускорено центрофугированием .The proposed method for the preparation of siccativas is based on the well-known technique of sedimentation. break down and break the soap emulsion by adding salts 1 of non-alkali metals. By this method I sowing resins or linoleate, enticed soda soap and | water is not washed or dried. After complete discharge of the precipitate, the water is drained, without taking care of carefully separating it. The wet sediment containing entrained sodium soap is dissolved in turpentine or in another solvent, resulting in a mixture of turpentine and aqueous solutions, which easily disintegrates into two layers. The water layer is garbage, and turpentine is a desiccant, which is contaminated with water emulsion of sodium soap. This emulsion is very stable and its cash makes such a desiccant unusable as a product. The emulsion is very quickly and completely destroyed if the turpentine solution is placed with salts of any metals other than alkaline. It is better if these salts are soluble in water, for example, CaCI-, ZnSO, ZnCl.j, etc. Their effect is due to the fact that instead of sodium (or potassium) soap, which causes a solid emulsion, it forms water-insoluble but easy turpentine-soluble zinc, calcium or other soap. The alkaline metal, bound to the remainder of the mineral acid, goes into the aqueous solution in the form of NaCl or MagSO (KCI or K2SO4 in the event that it has potassium soap). The availability of an aqueous solution of salts causes salting out and, consequently, faster release of the turpentine solution from moisture and emulsion, which can be accelerated by centrifuging.
