Description
The invention relates to the field of enrichment of ores by flotation and provides a method (for obtaining for this process a new type of flotation reagent from turpentine.
Этот продукт известен под названием «флотационное сосновое масло (типа американского «пайн-ойл ).As is known, the rapidly growing need for flotation agents, caused by the growth of the non-ferrous metallurgy industry; forces new types of flotation reagents to be found, since the existing sources of their production, on the one hand, are not able to meet the needs to the proper extent, and, on the other hand, there is a need to increase the range of flotation agents. Many forest products are feedstock for the production of flotation reagents. Among them, the most well-known are high-acid, alcohol-rich distillate of the volatile part, resinous substances of pneumatic osmol. This product is known as flotation pine oil (such as the American Pine Oil).
In order to carry out flotation, it is proposed to use as a feedstock air-cooled turpentine (for example, turpentine oil) as well as separate fractions (for example, pinene) as a feedstock. The method is as follows: the terpentine oil undergoes oxidation until the refractive index of 1.48-1.49 is reached with continuously or periodically supplied, humidified or non-humidified air, in the absence or presence of a suitable catalyst. This treatment can be carried out in a wide temperature range: from room temperature to about a temperature close to the initial boiling point of turpentine or its individual fractions. The optimal limit is a temperature of 90-140 ° C.
The intermediate obtained is subjected to hydration: by exposure to water at boiling. At the same time, the volatile portion of the intermediate product is distilled off with steam. Stripping p | is produced until the refractive index of the residue reaches 1.50-1.51. The collection of turpentine carried away by air treatment is carried out by the scrubber of this system. The distilled part of turpentine, as well as regenerated on the scrubber system, can be used again. The residue obtained after removal of the volatile portion of the intermediate product is a finished product, which is used as a flotation agent in the mining industry.
Example. 425 g of turpentine oil is treated with air at a temperature of 120 ° C without a catalyst to achieve a coefficient, refraction of 1.49. Then add 1 ton of SHOPPHL of water and the product obtained is thrown into the action of a sharp vapor. After only traces of volatiles remain in the distillate that is distilled off from the steam, the treatment is stopped. The result is a residue (finished product), used as a flotation reagent for ores enriched by the flotation method.
